Puerto Peña Campsite is located in Talarrubias, a small village in the east of Extremadura. It is set between the Orellana and García de Sola Reservoirs within the touristic area called Los Lagos (The Lakes).

The Puerto Peña campsite has been categorized as “first Class” by the Spanish Tourist Board. It is an inland oasis of 5,400 square metres at 435 mts above sea level. It is popular for its large shady areas, sandy ground and its exceptional natural surroundings. The campsite is set in a specially protected area for birds and it is an impressive paradise for eagles, tawny vultures and black storks, among others.

Next to the campsite there is an Information Centre about Birds on the local fauna, where you can do activities such as guided outings or environmental day trips.

Puerto Peña Campsite is open from 1st March until  31st October
